Playa de los Lances - Tarifa

It is the busiest place in Tarifa. North of Los Lances, this is the area of the kitesurfing school and a freeride area; So be careful with the students, who are easily recognizable. The wind is blowing from the side and the sea is flat. You will find a much more regular wind in front of the Rio Jara campsite. However, if you stay in front of the large parking lot, the wind can be unstable. With the Poniente wind, the wind blows from the side, offering a very steady wind and rough seas. The southern part of Los Lances is closed from June 15 to September 15. This area, which stretches from the city of Tarifa to the Rio Jara campsite, is reserved for tourists relaxing on the beach. Outside of this period, with the winds of Levante, the wind is quite irregular because the city blocks it. With the Poniente winds, most riders meet there for a very steady wind.
