Located 2 hours from Jericoacoara, it is difficult to reach in one go from Fortaleza. It is better to take advantage of the trip to discover other spots on the road (Icarai, Ilha Do Guajiru, Cumbuco, Jeri... the choice is yours!) Barra Grande is a real paradise, both for kiting and for a relaxing holiday. The village is very authentic, the beaches are extremely quiet... The wind blows very strong and regular. Barra Grande does not know the hustle and bustle of some spots near Fortaleza, it is a kind of little paradise far from everything. Regarding kitesurfing, the conditions are ideal: at low tide, the water recedes and you can kite in a kind of saltwater lagoon (on the sea side). We have wide feet everywhere, it's perfect for beginners. (be careful not to jump too close to the edge at the risk of breaking an ankle).
